Question:
Did Phillies' broadcaster Harry Kalas have fans outside of Philadelphia?
As a huge baseball fan, but not a Phillies fan -- I still mourn the death of such a huge legend.

He definitely does have fans throughout the nation who will mourn his loss. Years ago it was harder to build a fan base because the broadcast range was more limited but even when it was just radio Phillies fans moved to other cities like Los Angeles and a part of being a fan is usually you like the team's broadcasters. Now with the NLB.com and all the internet traffic listening to or watching the games broadcsters have more of a following because people who never visited PA probably listened to him. Kind of like Vince Scully of the LA Dodgers. He too when he dies will be missed or Chick Hern of the lakers.

Probably.

Well I should hope so through his work with NFL Films, too. What a great voice. What a great broadcaster. RIP, Harry.
