Question:
Do you think that rubbing a puppy's nose in the mess he made helps?

No! You will only frighten the puppy who will then hide to do his business. A quiet "no" in a stern voice is more effective. Your dog wants to please you. Never punish him for what he doesn't understand but praise him when he gets it right.

no its cruel, just take them outside right after and show them that that is the right place to go potty

No, taking them outside after having an accident shows them that "outside is the place to go" And if you find an accident after the fact, they won't know why you're shoving their face in poo.
I think it's tough love. I'd hate to be the puppy BUT if it gets them to do right then by all means...

yea its burns their nose and they will most likley go outside nect time

No that is just cruel and the puppy would just be fearful of you
No. The puppy will be scared of you, not of the consequences of having accidents in the house. There are much better and more effective ways of disciplining your puppy without using physical force.

yes it does it shows the dog that what he did is wrong and for him not to do it agian its like spanking your child for doing something wrong

No - All that does is make the angry owner feel better.

yes it does

there are much better ways to let him know why you are scolding him, so no I do not think it helps.
No. Puppies have very limited memories, so unless you catch him at it, he cannot remember messing.

Not unless right when they do it, it later they are thinking what is this stuff?

I also use the command: Pee or go pee and pooh or go pooh for my dogs. It works great, seemed strange at first. When you do this, it helps in a pinch and in a rain storm or anytime you are in a rush to have your puppies take care of business. They want to learn and enjoy learning. Be patient, and do not use physical force, that will only make the dog shy away from you. My best to you and your puppy.

no, take the puppy immediately back to the soiled area - and tell him NO, bad dog. Do NOT say his name. Use good things when using his name. This only works if you are there and see the puppy soiling the area, if you wait awhile he will not know what he is being punished for. Happy puppy hood...
