im trying to make a birthday cake for my children boy and girl they want a motorcycle cake does any 1 have any ideas ive only found a few examples that i cant do
make 3 cakes one rectangle, 13 by 10, and two round ones. cut a piece lengthwise from the rect.cut it in 2 and use it for the handle bars. The remainder of the rect. will be th body of the bike, with a few cuts here and there, to make a oval. the 2 round cakes are the wheels, cut about an inch all the way round from each one and these pieces will be the exhaust pipe and the kick stand. Buy a variety of candies; shoe lace licourice, pretzels; different colours of tubes of icing, as well as fruit roll ups and then, let your imagination fly.. I did this for a cake auction for my daughters grad, and it took it the highest bid...$1500 dollars....

Does it have to be cake? I've been commissioned a few times to make Rice Krispie Treat 'birthday cakes'. Make a batch or two of Rice Krispie Treats using a little less marshmallows than the recipe calls for.
Then, once cooled a little, shape the Treats into the shape of the object... packing them in and shaping like clay.
After shaping, use Marshmallow Fondant for the 'icing' and details.http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fond...
RK treats with MM Fondant tastes great, and it's pretty fun to make.
