Wow...most of you know nothing about what happened with the currency, and resort to blaming Bush. Sure...Bush failed, but our economy was doomed to fail in 1913 when the federal reserve system was put into place and even more damage was done when Nixon stoped the gold standard. Do some research and you'll find that no form of FIAT currency has ever worked, that's currency thats not backed by anything of value for you guys who didn't know. Start with that and this whole picture will start to make sense.
its pretty hard to come out of being trillions in debt because some dickweed (bush) goes and bombs a bunch of people who say screw America, blows up their houses and tells the kid, hey sorry 13 year old for blowing your parents and house up, we'll build you a bigger better home for your loss. sad when someone tries to democratize a dictatorship. once this "war on terror" is over we will have around as many casualties as in 9/11 you wait and see. funny how we go over there cause Osama killed all those people, when we are pretty much killing all our troops by sending them over there pretty screwed up if you ask me
Obama is not the only one that is involve in saving the US economy-congress, the American consumers, banks and other businesses have to work together and figure out what will be the best and safest way to help the economy.
No, he can't do it alone. Congress spends too much of or money on rebuilding countries we destroyed, corporate welfare and useless pork projects that don't generate any income.
No. President Obama, himself, will not save the economy. It will take the combined efforts of the current administration, Congress, the Senate, and the United States citizens to normalize the economy. Over the past twenty-years or so, we've developed a poor habit of spending beyond our means. Only when the country begins spending within our means, will the economy normalize.
Absolutely not. What has Obama done for the United States so far? Sure he has raised hopes that racial barriers are on a fast decline, but Baraq Obama bought his way into office. No one knew of him and now he is president? A miracle? No. That is what happens when you spend 10 times what John McCain spent on campaigning.. If Obama was serious about fixing the economy he would've threw all that sapre change on fixing the problem instead of airing a new commercial every day so he could get teh chance to be greeted as Mr. President. I believe that Obama is like the captain of a ship. The ship they gave him in this case was in absolute disrepair...no preventive maintenance, the previous crew was lazy, corrupt and unfortunately there is no money in the bank to keep this baby afloat because the previous captain gambled all the money on a number of really bad decisions. And just before he was terminated the ship hit an iceberg because some of his officers weren't paying attention and has now sprung a major leak putting the ship and everyone on it in peril. Some of the crew and passengers are in a state of panic and turned on each other. The corrupt have jumped ship. Those rich enough to buy a lifeboat don't care whether or not the rest of the passengers will survive. Its pretty much every man for himself. Obama has been hired to restore order and fix the ship because he is known for keeping a clear head in crisis. He has also shown an aptitude for thinking outside the box and is adept at utilizing modern technologies to out maneuver the opposition or what some may think as wannabes.
Obama's first solution: Hire a new crew (people with proven track records and work experience because what you don't need now is newbies), plug the immediate leaks to keep the ship from sinking further, take out a reasonable loan to get basic repairs done to get the ship working again. Remembering that this is a really big ship, put officers (regulators) in charge to make sure his orders are being carried out as intended. Provide leadership for a crew who hasn't had real leadership for nearly 8 years and may have forgotten what it looks like. Listen to what the crew has to say about the problems, but remember that it is ultimately the Captain's decisions that can save us all. Remind the crew and the passengers that when the ship is sinking everyone has to pitch in if we are to survive.
My solution: Fire anybody who is bitching about all the work that has to be done instead of actually working. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians has always been a major problem in Washington and with our country in general. Far too many armchair Presidents trying to second guess what Obama is or should be doing. The man is intelligent. He has a vested interest in the future, because the world he leaves will be the one in which his children and their children will live. Have the American people who "actually are responsible for who goes to Washington" start paying attention to whether or not those people are actually doing what they get paid to do or are they spending their time looking for photo ops or filibustering just so they can sound important. I know I will be watching those in local, state and federal positions that affect my state.
REMINDER: The squeaky wheel may get most of the attention but its usually not the wheel that is actually doing all the work. Find out who is and give them your support.
No no one but ourselves as the people can save ourselves. I work very hard to provide for my family, we have pulled ourselves up from poverty why should i be penilized for this and made to pay for those who do not want to help themeselves and for the mistakes of those that overreached thier limits. why dont we all stop working and just hold are hands out lets see how well that works out......there is a difference in a hand out and a hand up..i believe in helping hands for those who need it and not in enabling societies leeches not matter who they are.
