Currently have Virgin pre-pay for hubby and I. We have 400 minutes and 400 text messages between us and pay about $50 a month.
Want to get rid of our landline so can spend a little bit more but not too much.
Any recommendations for the 2 of us?
My wife and i use t-mobile. They have good rates on thier family plan's.
We get 700 minutes (shared) and 200 texts each + some web access at under $90 a month. Compared with At&t that's a good deal.
They have good customer service too and decent 2G coverage. You can also buy unlocked phones and use them and they have some great phones - Samsung Memoir coming out, Nokia 5610 Xpress music etc, plus the google phone.
One thing to know though - if you want to use 3G features, their 3G rollout is progressing, but still smallest of the major networks. Check their coverage map to see if they have it in your area.

I have Verizon, but I actually think you have a better deal going with Virgin pre-pay so you may want to stick with that, seeing as how I don't think you're going to get a better deal than that with any other cell phone company. It seems like they're price fixing their services. I've been thinking about changing to a pre-paid plan for a while because the price is just ridiculous. Verizon has good service, but it's not worth the price you have to pay.Get rid of the land line and keep Virgin Mobile is my advice.
I have verizon family plan. It has 700 minutes which I have never used up, and since the people I call are on Verizon (which I did not know),those calls are free. I have never used up my 700 minutes and the plan was two phone for the price of one.
