How responsible is your son? If he takes care of things, listens to rules and obeys them then he might be at the right age. But go karts do NOT go just 15 miles per hour, some of them go up to 50 miles per hour. My husband works on them and we get them in all the time. They are operated by kids from 7 on up and a lot of them have injuries from where the go kart rolled or hit something. They are NOT a toy, that's for sure. If you let him have one make sure the throttle control is set so that he can't go very fast in it until you are satisfied that he will take care of himself and it. You need to be there when he's using it, making sure he doesn't act stupid or crazy. I used to be an EMT and we took quite a few kids to the hospital because they wouldn't follow the rules. Good luck and think hard and long about it.
You can get a kid go-kart. They can go up to speeds of probably 15 miles per hour. As long as your child is mature enough to know not to go in the street or something with it, they should be ok. Make sure to get the child one though and check to see what the weight limit is, maximum speed, and recommended age is to see if it suitable for your kid.
some kids have the natural ability to do a lot of things.it almost seems as a second nature to them.if you and hopefully an ekpert cansee his.capacity to operate it then why not.a lot of people in their professions who are famous now startedout because of their natural ability as a child.don't stifle them
11 because its not good for a 9 year old to do some thing without practice. first practice with him. then watch him last if he's good its fine but at 10 he needs might need. and GET IT FOR HIS BIRTHBAY
I gave my son his at the age of 11. He was thrilled and picked up on it immediately like an expert. On the other hand, one of the neighborhood boys who a year later drove his own car hurt himself. It depends on the child. There’s always an electric car.
Awesome I say GO FOR IT!!
unless you want them to be sheltered-
There are probably tracks that he/she can practice on!
I mean when you go to the Go Kart parks - they let 6yr olds go with an adult right? -
My nephew just turned 7 and got one for his B-day. I guess it depends on maturity, and if you have the place to run it...
A good test-- take him and see how he handles it.
There may be a go-kart safety course.
Make sure he knows Road signs
STOP GO YIELD
Let him know that when you take him, this is NOT for fun - this test will determine when you may be ready to get one.
Scouts have a good program about Go karts-
just a few ideas=
We did this for my little nephew and he proved he could handle it.... so he owns one now
His older brother and cousins will help supervise.
