Great bands like, Dream Theater, Rush, and definitely Between the Buried and Me.

Rush - especially listen to their album "2112" "Moving Pictures" and "Hemispheres". that is their earlier stuff, but way worth listening too! For a three piece band they sound like a six piece band!

Umm... I absolutely LOVE Pink Floyd, but I'm not sure what Progressive rock is. But you may like Widespread Panic. I am personally not a huge fan of their music, but I have been to one of their concerts and they really are awesome live. I have never been to a concert like that before! haha

dude! i've got a GREAT band for you, mind you, they're instrumental, but if you have an overall appreciation for music, you'll love Liquid Tension Experiment, them and Dream Theatre << non-instumental and HEAVILY PF inspired. ^.^

Well, The latter days of the Who is pretty progressive. try them.
