what is the difference i don't know
(i am only talking about style wise however if you know personality wise as well please let me know) thanks
it's easy to tell the difference. Goths where full-on Black, they tend to wear trench coats and might have different colours in their hair (but their hair is usually died black). Emos are easy to see as they like to wear black also, but they wear bright colours aswell. Scene is just like someone who's copying everybody else, me and my friends call our enimies scene's as they try to copy the gothic and emo fashion, but don't get it right, it's a total abuse to people! Hope that helps!
The descriptions are very long, so I just posted the site below. The second site describes "scene' and has pics.Thirdly here is the meaning of Goth.Definition: To some, goth is a style of dress; to others it's a lifestyle. Either way, the gothic look involves very black clothing and very white makeup with edgy, tough accessories. Prime example of classic gothic style: Marilyn Mansion.
Pronunciation: goth
Also Known As: Gothic
Lastly I sent you a link of Manson 's different looks for Gothic.
Your correct they are all diffrent. Emo is mostly black, but the can wear deep reds, and white. The tend to wear band tees, and dark skinnny jeans. They wear the heavy eyeliner. Emo teens are very to themselves. This doesn't make them a bad person. A lot of them listen to music, it ranges to classical to rock. People get the impression that Emo teens cut themselves and hate the world. That not true, well sometimes it is but not usually. Goth is decked out all black. They're face is whiter, more pale. They use heavy eyeliner. Its very close to emo. Goth people are just goth. They don't really have a personallity. It is very wide range. But they tend to be more to themselves and like to listen to music. Scene is very diffrent from emo goth. Scene you can wear most colors. The were vans and sometimes ballet flats. They also wear skinny jeans, huge sunglasses, and tees with character on them like Zim. They have piercing, ranging from the tounge, eyebrow, ect. Scene girls dye their hair random colors. Blue, hot pink, green, ect. They tend to be very bold, over-confident and random.
The music they listen too... those are different music subcultures.
It is not about attitude and dress... that comes out of the music, not the other way around. (Note the term goth, actually comes from journalists reffering to the music as goth, which is an old germanic term for barbaric... not from the gothic architecture or literature styles)
Goth = an avid fan of goth rock that participates at least a little in the music subculture. (Goth rock also came out in the late 70's and actually came out of punk and post punk. Goth rock was more introspective than punk, and often dealt with dark themes, nihilism, romanticism, gothic horror, or various philosophies.) Goth clothing is stereotyped as being all black and such, but actually varies quite a bit... though many movies took their looks right from goth clubs. (Matrix, Underworld, most movies by Tim Burton, you get the picture) But at the same time many looks from movies and tv shows like Labyrinth, the Adams Family, and the like have made their way into goth clubs over the years and have become mainstays. (note there are alot of "spooky kids" calling themselves goths that are not actually goths... they are just people trying to "fit in by being outcasts"... normally the old school goths find them either annoying or amusing.)
Music = Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, the Sisters of Mercy, The Mission (UK), London after Midnight, Fields of the Nephilim, Christian Death (the old band by that name), Joy Division, the Cult (Southern Death Cult), Xmal Deutschland, the Birthday Party, the Cruxshadows, Voltaire, the Last Dance, etc...
Emo = actually this one is a bit harder, as Emo was originally a music subculture in the early 80's that died out... then a new subculture (mainly based around the band fugazi) started back up in the early 90's only to die out at the end of the 90's... But the current group that is mainly made up of people imitating the clothing style of the emo music subculture of the 90's, and claiming that emo is about being emotional. The actual emo name was an abreviation of the music genre, emocore... or emotional hardcore punk.
Music = Fugazi, Rite of Spring, etc..
Oh and Hiba... Manson is NOT goth, style is called shock rock, and his music is metal (alternative metal most consider it.)...
